let me preface this with -- i feel blessed to have received so many hand-me-downs from her three girl cousins.
However, I dread doing her laundry and having to match up all her clothes and put them away. I am talking... she could probably go a month or month and a half or more without doing laundry!! Anyone else?
Re: FWP- dd and clothes
Brooklyn has sooooo much clothes I have gone more then a month without doing laundry. I have on more then on one occasion thought "I forgot she even had this" It really sucks folding and hanging everything up when I wait this long but a silly problem to have.
This is my thought as well. No hand-me-downs here either. I buy on uber-clearance when I can.
Yes. I dread laundry day. DH is very unhelpful despite efforts to be helpful. The outfits he puts together, oh em gee. His DCPs have even give us fun teasing, "Oh, did daddy dress you today?" lol.
Luckily, we're at the end of HMDs so future clothing should be just as limited & boring as mommy's selection.
I dislike laundry in general. I usually do his laundry once or twice a week, depending on how full his basket gets. We have tons of clothes as well so I just try to rotate them often. This kid however has like 20 pairs of shoes. Ridiculous. Generally when I am done with everything though I sell it on ebay if I don't have a friend who could use them. I usually take that money and then put it back into clothes and shoes for whatever season we are coming up on.
You could always give them to a friend or donate them if you didn't want to sell them.
Since we're having another girl, we're keeping everything until #2 outgrows things. Then I will give them back to my sister-in-law (along with all the toys that we got from her) so she can sell them or consign them or give them away.
This. I think she had 39 dresses for this spring/summer at last count and I've probably bought 4 more since then. She also has a dozen shirt/short sets, plus a bunch of mix and match skirts/shirts/shorts.
