Sorry no one's responded to your post.. we're kinda slow around here lately.
Don't recall any of the regular gals on here doing that. As for me, my birth experience was pretty complicated, so there's no way I would have tried that. They met me in the hospital parking lot with an epidural... ha!
As for tub birthing, I am a super cautious person and even tho "they" tell you it's safe, I would just be a little concerned IF something went wrong.... Seems like an added hurdle in an already difficult process. Why make it more complicated.. ya know? Birthing a kid isn't exactly the best time to try something different. Keep it simple.

FTM, but I do have friends who had water births at home and loved them. I have a midwife and am giving birth in a hospital; I won't be able to give birth in the tub, but I can labor in one. You might try over on the Natural Birth board for more information on it.
I know lots of people that have, they enjoyed the experience, but they home birthed. I did natural in hospital, but my local isn't equipped with tubs yet (too late for me anyway). They offered the shower with the girls, I only got to use it with T, my other labors were way too fast.
When I saw this post I literally lol'd. I had just been on Kijiji (ebay classifieds) and someone local was selling a "gently used" home birth pool. Um, not sure I'd like to find out how it was used gently, and although I know you can completely clean out and sanitize something like this, I'd personally feel a little odd using a pool someone else gave birth in. But that's me, being squeamish.
I would've loved to at least even labor in a tub. But I had a super complicated pregnancy so I had a scheduled c section at 39 wks. Plus I don't think any of the hospitals around here even have tubs.

I had my daughter in a birthing tub... was the best experience of my life! She was born in the most tranquil and amazing environment. I would never give up my tub... LOVE IT! In my opinion, if you can do it, do it.. for you and your baby.

I haven't but there was a woman I heard about who did live on the Internet. There's a link to a video clip of it at the end of the article.

I think she gave birth in the middle of the night so not sure how many people were watching it live.
