Rumparooz pockets - do they seem small?

I really like the Rumparooz OS pockets that I have and am considering getting more, but they seem short--I'm wondering if they will see DD all the way through to potty training.

Do these dipes seem small to anyone else, particularly in the rise?  I hesitate to buy a few more if they won't get DD through another 2 years.  She's already on the second-largest rise snaps (medium I suppose), and she's only 4 months old...

  • The rise is lower a little than other pockets such as BG, but if you don't expect them to go up high avid users manage just fine.  Your daughter will also likely get chubbier before she leans out at which point the diapers will go for a little longer again.

  • Im still using at 16 months. Im all the way unsnapped but I see them lasting a while. He still has lots of room. They slow down w/ their growth alot. in the 25-50% for height and 22 pounds.
  • I only have one Rumparooz OS pocket (and I love the extra gussets which kept the huge poo she had this morning in) so I can not comment on them much but... I have a tall skinny baby and I see them lasting awhile. Also I like a little lower rise because if I let the diaper cover her belly button it sometimes looks irritated with the diaper rubbing or possibly with any pee that wicks upward.

The rise IS low but my son was still wearing them until just a few months ago. He's almost 3 now and is 30 lbs.

I love them for DS2 right now so I dont' let DS1 wear them anymore :)  he's almost PT anyway.

  • This is the first thread I've ever seen where most people say they will last.

We were out of them by 6 months. Most people I know don't make it past 8 months.

  • We have two with velcro and while they still fit our 1.5 year old, they sometimes ride down.  It's not the first diaper I reach for but they technically do still fit.

Same here.  DD grew out of them by 8ish months I think?  Maybe sooner.  The rise was super low.  She was very chubby though.  She's slimmed out since hitting a year, maybe I should try them again to see how they fit.

  • We were on the medium rise at 4 months, and we are still on the medium rise at 12 months.

They stay on the medium setting in all diapers the longest.  Most babies slow down their growing once they become more active.  If you like them, I would buy more.  They are one of my favorite pocket diapers because they aren't cut as big and wide like other brands.
