Brown Spotting???

Hi everyone- unfortunately this is my first post since finding out we are pregnant...but I am curious to see if there are any other Moms-to-be out there that could possibly give me some piece of mind. I am 7wks3days pregnant and yesterday early afternoon I began to spot. The spotting is brown in color and not heavy. Its not pouring out of me like a period flow...only shows up when I wipe. I called my Dr. immediately as I was obviously very concerned and they moved up our first appt to tomorrow (thank god) and told me usually it means its "old blood" and if it turns pink or red then to call them right away. I have mild cramping sparatically (I dont know if thats my mind playing tricks on me or not- but honeslty the cramping is like nothing) and I feel pregnant- sore breasts, bloating, tired, peeing a lot...I have been lucky so far with no morning sickness or anything but that is kinda scaring me as well. I would just like to know if there is anyone out there who have had something similar happen to them and what the outcome was? Thanks so much everyone : )

    Yep, sounds pretty normal.  If you have bright red, or it starts filling a pad, I would call your OB.... or if you have bad cramping.  I had spotting at about 6 weeks, just enough to tint the toilet paper.  If you are still worried, give your OB a call... but it sounds pretty normal to me! :)  GL

    Sounds 100% normal! I cramped a lot and that was very scary for me. I cramped from 4 wks to 15 though so try not to stress yourself out about that part Big Smile

    its normal. i had the same thing. mine only lasted for like 2 hours. but i was having some bad cramps.

    Sorry to jump in here but I have a question for you, Megroons-

     I am in my 5th week and have been having very intense cramping (like I normally do before my period, which are severe). You mentioned above you cramped from week 4 to 15. How intense were your cramps?

    7th Pregnancy, no living kids, with a You-Name-It Loss History. Curious? Inquire Within.
    Due 8/13/16 and couldn't be more excited for our little girl! <3

    My spotting ranged from brown, to pink, to red one day.  It showed up right after ovulation to about 10 weeks.  Went away and came back at 11 weeks.  Then went away again and has been gone.  I had a little pink brown spotting this weekend and then yesterday once, but I'm attributing it to sex since it was right after :)  I also had severe cramping early on.  It's dulled now and I only notice it when I don't drink plenty of water.  Everything has been fine so far.  Saw the baby every week until 10w and heard HB on doppler at 11w.  GL at your appointment!

    Thank you so much for your input! Quick question...I have been spotting for more than 24hrs now...its too the point where I am wearing a pad now. Its not pouring out of me, but some is getting on the pad...I just feel like its getting worse but its still the dark brown color. I guess I will see tomorrow at my appointment....
