Opinions on girl names
DH and I have been casually tossing around some names. We are pretty sure of a boys name, however, we have a list of girls names going. I realize that we may come up with new names or change our favorites a bunch of times between now and when we finally settle on "the one". I'm just kind of curious which name sounds the prettiest / coolest to others?
DH is Hispanic, so we like Spanish names... especially with his last name.
Here are some names we like:
Evita (Evie for short)
Lena
Adelia
Alita
Ella
Dahlia (however, my sister just named her DD Delilah and I feel they are kind of similar and I think I would even get them jumbled together)

I like Evita because i like the nickname. But i think they are all pretty. I also agree with what you said about Dahlia, it is pretty close to your sisters daughters name and they would probably get mixed up a lot.
After 2 years of TTC#1, 2 losses, & a lot of prayers, we're hoping this is it!
I would combine your favorites and go with Elena. Then you can call her Ella or Lena for a nickname!
Right! That's another thing... one of my good friends has a daughter named Elena. I wouldn't want the same name. Maybe Lena is even too close... I feel like Ella would be different enough though. So much to think about!

Evita and Ella are my fav!
Itd probably bug me if my sis baby name was similar to mine. I liked Lorelai for a girl but my cousin named her girl Alora so I knixed it.
Mae also liked Scarlet. It a cousin took that! And Rocco! Haha they were secrets so Atleast they didn't know but dh and I were like whoa we all must be on the same wave length or something. Ha ha good luck!

But aren't you concerned people will pronounce Ella like "Eya" with the Hispanic pronunciation? Maybe consider it with one "l"?
