baby dropping..?

when the baby drops is it a sudden feeling or do they gradually drop into position..?

Mine was a gradual drop over about a week or so... and was around 34 weeks

How can you tell? I think at one point a few weeks ago I was like "yeah, I *think* the baby is a little lower" and my SO noticed it too. However, I don't have the other signs like going to the bathroom more than normal, etc. My midwife also said the baby is still pretty high.

I can tell mine dropped. physically looking at it. everyone else around me can as well. mine has dropped over the last couple weeks. yesterday she dropped even lower on me.

looking at my weekly pictures, people telling me, and I have been able to breathe a lot easier now as well.

Mine has always been so low I can't really tell when it was but in the past 2 weeks or so my pelvic area has been very sore so I am guessing if he hadn't dropped before then he is now.
