Woohoo! (aka why I absolutely love my OB)

I am GBS negative, AND my doc doesn't do internals unless she's considering induction (which she doesn't like to do) or something just seems off (like the patient she had who ended up being 6 cm at 36 weeks)

I had a conversation with her about how I am absolutely TERRIFIED of having a c-section and she promised me that they only do them as absolute last resort and that they don't even do them all that often.

She also told me that other than this weekend she isn't going ANYWHERE until after the baby is born, and she doesn't think I'll be going into labor this weekend (which is good since I have a baby shower on Sunday).

She also agrees that FIL is BSC for planning a trip the weekend before I'm due (she knows FIL professionally).

  • I love mine too! She said that the average rate doctors have for doing c-sections is 32 (I don't know what that means exactly) and her rate is 22. She said she tries everything she can to help her patients deliver vaginally. She also said since her and her partner have opened their private practice she has only missed one birth! Her favorite part is delivering so she really wants to be there for her patients. Every concern I have had she has answered the way I was hoping she would. So thankful for a great doctor!
