Babies R Us returns

Does anyone know whether Babies R Us will accept returns without a receipt? I think I read somewhere if you have a current registry with them they will, other places say they absolutely won't. I received a few duplicate items and would like to exchange them.

    They will exchange with out receipt. If you got something you want to exchange that isn't on your registry just add it, then you can exchange it :)

      I have a registry with them and they gave me in-store credit when I explained that the item I wanted was on my registry. I didn't need a receipt. 

    However I would call up the BRU store you want to go to - write down the name of the person you speak with and ask them. It's better to be safe than sorry.

    They did for me. I suppose b/c I have a registry, but I returned items not on my registry too and they didn't say anything.

    We don't have a BRU but we have a Toys R Us which IMO is the same thing, and I've returned stuff there without a receipt before. They just give you store credit

    I returned items that weren't on my registry without a receipt. I got a gift card.

    Just a note though if you did register for something and decided you don't want it anymore or if you got a ton of something and figured it is easier to return the one you know came from BRU (like me) it will go back on your registry so make sure to go back and delete it. DH decided we didn't need the baby blender that we could just use our big blender and put the money towards something else and I just saw that it was back as an active item on the registry.

    I did but also had a registery and had duplicates - also had other things to return that I had no idea where they were from and tried BRU(some were/weren't from there).  They didn't give my a problem.  I also tried Target (don't have a registery there) and just explained that they were gifts and got duplicates and they didn't get me a problem either.  I was expecting a nightmare from Target b/c I had problems with my wedding registery there but it was actually easy.
