With DD going to bed around 8:30-8:45, I am ready for bed shortly after 9pm. It doesn't help that she usually wakes up at 4:30am to eat and then I am up and getting ready for work. Mama needs her sleep!!
Depending what time I leave work, I don't get home until 930-10pm and then eat dinner (yeah bad I know), shower, pump, feed LO, then go to bed. To do it all in an hour is ridiculously hard. I try to pump and eat dinner at the same time. And I want to be the one to feed LO since I hardly ever see him on my 4 days of work.
So, although I aim for 11-12am, I probably go to bed closer to 12-1am and wake up to do it all over again by 730. I want my 8 hours of sleep again.
I start work at 3am so I go to bed between 7 and 8. The first week back was hell because DD didn't want to go to sleep until 11. We started co-sleeping amd now we go to bed at the same time and I don't have to get out of bed to feed her at all. She was waking up around 1 or 2am anyway so it works that I get to feed her before leaving for work at 2:45am.
My DD is usually down around 9pm and I'm ready for bed myself then. But DH is still acting like things are the same and gives me a guilt trip for going to bed to early, so I just nap on the couch until we get ready for bed around 10 or 11. At least he's better than he used to be, I can go to bed around 10 some days. Heck, I could fall asleep at 8 if LO was in her crib.
I try for 10-11, but I usually get caught up with the things I have neglected during the day. Like tonight after Willow went down, I ate, cleaned up a little and currently pumping, and will go do the dishes and straighten up the kitchen before I go to bed and could still get distracted on the computer....Usually ends up being after 11
