We used a VBSN fitted on DS for the first time last night. This morning when DS woke up, I was very disappointed to find wet PJs, a wet sheet, and a completely drenched VBSN fitted.
This sucks. I was really excited to try out this diaper, since it is supposedly great for super soaker wetters. For us, it worked about just as well as a workhorse.
DH wants to buy disposables for overnight now, but I have hope that we can find a good overnight fitted for our son.
Any suggestions?
Re: VBSN Fail :-( Recs for Overnight Fitted?
These might be silly questions but I'll ask since you didn't mention it: was the diaper fully prepped? Did you use a cover?
This exactly. And if so, what cover?
Monkey Snuggles, B4 or TT are other ones that might work. I don't know what VBSN is though.
edit: Also, Old School Cool.

Yes, the diaper was fully prepped. I washed and dried it twice before using.
Bummis cover was used...
Very Baby Simply Nights, made of hemp and micro fleece.
Uuhhh... typically your VBSN is hemp under fleece, Correct? Washed and dried twice isn't even close to fully prepped. If you really want to see what it can do, wash 8 - yes, 8 - times. Normally you're good after 4 or 5, but when you have a super soaker, you'll want to reach full absorbancy before you start using.
I use Baby Beehinds bamboo fitted, with the 2 snap in bamboo and an extra hemp, in a Thirsties wrap. I bet if you fully prep yours though, you'll see a great difference.
