Why is it that I can never wait until I miss a period to test? I always do it days before, only to be disappointed early. Why do I do this to myself?

I even psych myself out before I take it, trying to prepare for any outcome. And then as soon as it's negative, I lose it! What happened to calm collected, patient, pre-test girl?!

Anyone else do this to themselves?

    Do you chart? I usually will hold off and test when FF tells me to...even if it's before my missed AF. Otherwise it's just a wasted test.

    I agree that charting is a good idea if you are not already doing it.  Last cycle I was not charting and my usual 28-29 day cycle was 43 days. Had I been charting, I would have saved myself a lot of heartache and tests.   

    11/2010 Diagnosed with PCOS 
    10/31/11 M/C at 9 weeks
    1/12/13 DD was born
    4/9/16 DS was born 
    9/17 CP 
    6/23/18 BFP EDD 3/4/19

    No I haven't yet, but I will if we don't get a positive this cycle. We were successful at our very first attempt at TTC. So I figured I'd wait and see if it would happen the same way after the m/c. This is month two of trying since and everything's been really regular so far and right on time. I'll start charting if it doesn't work this time. Maybe we just got super lucky the very first time (well, sort of lucky)

    Yes I'd rather see an AF then a negative test.
