Sick with RSV :(

Caleb got diagnosed with a lighter case of RSV and we have to do breathing treatments with him and man does he fight with us to keep that mask in his face. We try to sing to him and keep him entertained but it don't happen... It's hit or miss with him, sometimes he is ok with it and most of the time he fights :(

He is also on the his way to getting an ear infection, hoping to keep that away...

Do you gals have any ideas other then watching Blues Clues or Go Diego Go to keep him entertained while putting an annoying mask in his face for his breath treatment???

    Poor kid! I hope he feels better and doesn't get an ear infection.

    I think TV and distraction is the only way to do it. Do you put him in his high chair or anything so he can't go anywhere while you're doing it? I can't even imagine trying to do this with DD. The machine would be broken in about 5 minutes.

    Oh man! I don't - I can't even pin him down for a diaper change...but I wish you luck and hope LO feels better soon. I can't stand to watch them suffer when they are so little (and by suffer I even mean doing something that is good for them but they just don't understand and fight it).

    This might sound odd, but you could try a swaddle wrap around his arms and just rock him? DD hates when I suction her nose when she sick so I swaddle her arms. She still hates it, but holds still and relaxes because she realizes it's futile to struggle.

    I was thinking of trying the high chair approach but idk. Thanks for all the ideas and the concerns! I am going to be doing it on my own for the first time in probably 30 mins.... yeah, hoping that he will cooperate... He has been doing good lately, but that is when we (H and I) are both home. Pray it goes well!
