Getting Around with Older Babies

MY DDs are almost 9 months and still using their Snugrides with the DSNG.  If we go somewhere, Target or the grocery store, etc, I just use the basket of the DSNG as my shopping cart, which means I'm limited as to what I can buy.  But we'll be switching to convertible carseats soon which means the end of the DSNG.  We have a double jogger, but it's really hard to take that to stores because it's so wide.  It takes two people to get through a door (someone's got to hold the door open).  How do you go anywhere when it's just you and the babies?

    I push my stroller and pull the shopping cart. People look at funny but that isn't anything new. I use my tandum stroller because it is easier to use then the side by side. I also would put them both in the child seat. They were small enough that I could fit the strap around both of them.

    when i bring two with me (i don't really bring all three with me shopping) i bring the SBS double stroller, and i have these hooks that i can hang those shopping totes from. that's what i put my groceries in. obviously, i don't go BIG shopping with them, just pick up a few things.

    I just put them right in the grocery cart now or the cart with the double seats in front or the oltitle car infront. When they were smaller I would put them both in the front seat of the grocery cart together.

    When I go to the market or Target, I put one in the cart and wear the other (like in a Bjorn).

    I put them in my duoglider stroller and fil up the basket underneath with groceries. People alwyas look at me like I'm stealing but I don't care.

    Yep, I bring my Duoglider. If it is a light grocery trip I'll put stuff in the basket. If it is more I'll drag a cart behind me but it's a bit of an ordeal. I agree with the other pp's tip about getting a clip to go on your stroller...I hang a lot of plastic bags from there. Also I use those reusable tote bags bc I can put one on both shoulder and they hold a lot of groceries. The more you do it and practice the easier it gets. I don't think twice about it anymore!

    I bring my stroller and pull a cart behind me.I like it when the strores have those smaller carts. it is a little easier for me to get around.
