Help Mommies, Dr Google is letting me down.... Too many different answers
Last night getting out of the tub, I felt water coming from my vag. I thought nothing of it as some water might have went inside while taking a bath. Then with the towel still around me I did my facial cleansing routine, and by standing up felt some more water come out, although just a little bit.
This morning I woke up at 5 a.m. and my pants were wet! I smelled it (I know it's gross but need to explain it to you!) and although there was a faint smell of urine, didn't smell strong at all. Nothing yet again for today, just the normal discharge and some braxton hicks, OR is it amniotic fluid and labour pains????
Anyone else involuntarily peeing in their pants or know the signs of premature labour????
Re: Did my water break or am I wetting my pants?
What I really want to know is what on Earth posesses people to just hop on the computer and start asking a bunch of questions as if we would even possibly know the answer... and especially in what could be an emergency situation.
Call your damn doctor or go to the ER!

Agreed. I especially liked when people would come on and ask "Am I pregnant?!" Um, there is a pretty sure fire way of figuring that out. Take a damn test! Don't ask a message board.
This is right. Apparently, I had to go, but was dreaming I was going to the bathroom. I was not in the bathroom. Shot up like a rocket. The feeling is different, but I can understand the confusion of it. Go get checked. Better to know than going into labor at home and not know it. Never hesitate this late in the game. Good luck
I hate this dream!!! I've had several near misses this way.
Took the words right out of my mouth!
I have heard that when you are standing up the baby's head can cover and block a small hole in your amniotic sac, but when you lay down or baby shifts position a little fluid leaks out. Call your dr asap!
Thanx for the concerns and helpful answers, especially the cool tip on Ph Paper. Def getting some in case there is a "next time". Turns out it was urine.
Just an after thought. I live 2 hours drive away from my dr, so to take a day off of work and make a 4 hour trip for what might turn out to be pee doesn't make sense, that's why I asked the message board first. Thought a lot of mommies have gone through the same and be able to help. So thanx to those who did.
Much love to you all x
You are so right, because putting all those miles on your car and wasting all that gas would just be ridiculous. Don't even get me started on missing a whole day of work!! Thank heavens you didn't do that and that your priorities are right where they should be. O.o
If the distance that you live from your doctor and/or your hospital cause you to not seek appropriate care in a potential emergency then you really should reevaluate your situation. Hint: "appropriate care" does not mean ask strangers on the internet or ask Dr. Google. Also, is there something wrong with your phone? Last time I checked you didn't have to drive 4 hours round trip or miss work in order to place a call to your doctor.
Excuse me while I go add you to the list I'm compiling of vapid morons.
