Anyone heard of Party in my Pants? ....

Alright, so I was lurking on the eco friendly board.  I believe in being "green" but this was too much for me and I didn't even realize people were doing this..

https://www.partypantspads.com/shop/pads

decorative cloth menstrual pads

and if you go to the FAQ section and read "What do I do if I have to change it in public" they recommend rolling it up into a convenient carrying case and sticking the blood soaked pad in your purse.  Theres so many things I could say, but I'm not even going to go there...

I'm all for being Green, I totally support it...

    But..... No....  No thank you.

The option on the website that allows you to "Gush" may have been a poor choice of words...

I agree all for going green but thats gross! I will pass!!

  • I have heard of this.  I will not be trying it anytime soon...or ever.  I get it and in the grand scheme of things it's no less gross to me than putting a poopy cloth diaper in a plastic bag in the diaper bag to be washed later when a public changing is needed.  I don't cloth diaper either though.

  • Yeah, I'm okay with the Diva Cup and similar items -- but I stopped using pads as soon as I found out about tampons (my mom was against them because of fear of TSS, so they were never in our household).  I wouldn't want to deal with washing and reusing one, especially directly after birth!  But there are people who are okay with the family cloth, too.  Just not my thing.

Mama Pads are pretty common among the Eco Friendly community. Diva cups are also highly recommended. To each their own.

This. I have heard great things about Diva cups, I have a couple friends that use them. The pads are not my thing but I would consider the Diva cup.

Diva cups are a great option for traveling overseas to countries where disposable products are not available, acceptable, feasible, etc.

never heard of those either.  Just looked them up, still I wouldn't go for it but I deff. like the idea of that much better than the mama pads, and I could see it as a possibility for overseas travel.  Kinda nice actually cuz it says you don't have to change it for 12 hours.  With tampons you're only supposed to go a max of 6 I think.

  • At some point I want to get myself a Diva cup. But at this point I've only had like 4 periods in the last 3 years, between being pregnant and breastfeeding. There hasn't really been a point to getting one. :) Maybe after this one is born and my period starts back up. I think it'll be a while before we go for number 3.

ETA:  And education is complete.  Yep, not for me.  Intrigued by the diva cup though.
