LO has his surgery tomorrow and I was told it will be just like getting the tubes done time wise but just a little bit longer. Also, the recovery takes a little longer (about a day) and I was told that DS cannot play outside for 5 days following the procedure.

.
All of this. My ds had his tubes put in and his adenoids out in one procedure last month. Recovery was only about 24-36 hrs before he was back to "normal". He had a little bit of a stuffy nose and some coughing fits and his breath was pretty bad for about a week. It's made a world of difference, though! He was pretty much sick non-stop from late November to March. I can't believe how happy he is now; I didn't realize how bad it had become. Hope everything goes well!

I would love to hear your experience after it is over! DS is having his removed and his sinuses scraped in 2 weeks. It can't get here fast enough. He is miserable.
