I have read previous posts on covers, but still can't seem to make a descion. My son is in the newborn proraps, but soon to outgrow them. I've been looking at thirsties & bummies but can't figure out which to try. I'd like to get a few different types. So please feel free to wax poetic about your favorite covers and why. I'm obsessed enough with CDing that it's also good reading while on a mini vacay.

Re: Your favorite cover & why
I really love the Blueberry coveralls. I just think the fit is great and I love the gussets. They just work perfectly on my daughter.
That being said, we started using them when she was a little older. Some people on the boards have said they run a little bigger than other covers. I find them to be similar to my Thirsties covers but maybe it's true? We use them over fitteds usually but I have used them with prefolds and flip inserts and they've been find.
I also really love flip covers. They are very trim and fit well.
Thirsties Duo are my favorite. I also like my traditional Thirsties, it's a XS and it still fits DD at 4 months.
Bummis are pretty good, too. I have no complaints but I like the Duos b/c the sizing is more flexible and I'll be able to get more usage from them.
I tried a variety. I really like the Thirsties original and the Thirsties duo. I like the extra leg gusset and like the sizing. Bummis Super Brite are ok but more expensive and I don't quite get why, and I'm not a big fan of their color/pattern choices. Bummis Super Whisper Wrap has cute choices, but no second leg gusset which especially before solids my guy needed.
Edit: I tried the Bummis super lite and I'm not a fan of the wide elastic on the legs, especially for chunky legs. Also, the size runs small, IMO. Nice and cheap though!
Sized covers= bummis superbrite; double gussets, durable aplix, fits well over fitteds without being bulky
OS= BB coveralls; double gussets, durable rise snaps, roomy enough to last until PL but snaps down smaller well, high quality flexible PUL, waist and hip snaps for a good fit
FWIW, I've never liked the thirsties duo covers because the rise snaps come undone easily and they are bulky through the crotch on my LO. They are the only covers we ever had leaking issues with. I do really like the fit of the sized thristies covers, but the aplix isn't as durable as other brands.
I'm torn between Thirsties Duos and GroVias. I love the Duos, the gussets are great, but something about the way it snaps at the waist I don't like. It makes it bulky under clothes. I love the fit on my GroVias, but I find that I have to change them out more often because of the lining on the inside. I love Blueberry coveralls for night because they cover the big ol' night fluff, but they are way too bulky during the day.
