Does your baby like the swing?

My babe doesn't seem to like the swing.  Is he still too young to enjoy it?  Does your baby like the swing?

  • my two both like the swing BUT, it has to be on high!!! They don't like it on low!!

  • Dd likes it very fast and the mobile on . The mobile has a light that changes colors. It's like a little baby disco!! She only likes it for about 20 min max. Both my boys would sleep for days in it, not dd. But I'll take the 20 min breaks.

  • Mine does but she has to be in the mood.

  • Max didn't at first, but it grew on him. He likes the back and forth motion a lot more than side to side. He'll hang out if he's tired and sometimes fall asleep in it.. if he's not tired he'll talk to the mirror for a little while and then start squealing for attention.

  • Mine doesn't really either. She is much happier just on her blanket. I think the seat restricts arm and leg movement too.

  • Yeah, DD only likes it if it isn't moving and the music isn't on...which renders it pointless. I might as well put her in the bouncer XD

  • Mine LOVES the swing, so long as it's on high, and the music and mobile are on. However, she doesn't like it so much these days, but I think that has to do with the general neediness issue where I can't put her down.
  • yeah its been a life-saver for us for sure! She doesnt love it all the time, but its great when shes in there for a while!

  • Mine saved my life. We didn't get one until DS was about a month old and ever since, it's where he naps during the day. He'll wake up immediately in the PNP so the swing allows me to get stuff done and take a shower!

  • You can use the swing from day 1, definitely not too young! DS used to love it, but in the past month has hated it. I tried putting him in yesterday swaddled (but still buckled) and he slept in it for 2 1/2 hours.

  • He may still be too young.  Camryn JUST (and I mean within the past couple of days) has started to like it more.  I think it is because she is more aware now and actually likes to sit and look at the mobile and watch it go around.  She is still not into being in it for very LONG, but I have noticed it seems to entertain her more now.  Also, when she was littler, she seemed so small in it, I bet it was not even that comfy for her!

  • in the past 3-4 days Lo has started to like his swing! We can actually put him in it while awake and he sit there content and happy. Its really been nice!

  • My LO didn't care for the swing AT ALL until yesterday, and she insisted on sleeping in it last night.  She literally went from indifference to loving it overnight.  Just keep trying it!
