Novarel trigger and blood

I just triggered with Novarel tonight. When my husband took the needle out, there was a lot of blood; I had to use a band aid. With the stim shots I just wiped the little dot of blood with a tissue but this was a bloody mess.

He then mentioned that he forgot to draw back after inserting the needle, to make sure it wasn't in a blood vessel. Does this matter for the trigger, or only for PIO? Did you bleed with the trigger? Maybe he just wasn't careful and yanked the needle out, makes me nervous for the shots he'll administer in next few weeks.

Re: Novarel trigger and blood

  • My injections nurse told me that if there was blood it was okay to still inject. She said that it was more likely that a blood vessel was nicked and that it would leave a bruise.
