Cleaning

Lots of questions from me today:) are you avoiding certain chemicals/cleansers when you clean? Or avoiding certain tasks altogether?

Re: Cleaning

  • THe only thing I avoid was cleaning the cat box.  Everything else stayed.  However, your DH doesnt have to know that.  You can always say, "I should avoid fumes from toilet bowl cleaner, you HAVE to do that now."  usually you can get away with that for a while :-)

  • Nope, but I use mostly Meyer's Basil-scented cleaner and it's pretty natural.

  • No, I have used all the regular cleaning stuff I normally use.
DS born 8/8/09 and DD born 6/12/12.
  • I switched to Mrs Meyer's cleaning stuff for the toilet and kitchen because it was much healthier to sniff in. I have been avioiding bleach but there are a couple of things I REALLY want to clean with it. I'll probably break down soon and just have a fan and good ventilation. My OB is a little conservative when it comes to fumes and odors and I *try* to follow what she says.

  • Nope, life goes on. I never clean the bathroom with the door closed anyway so Im not really breathing excessive fumes.  I do try to avoid doing the litter box but even then if I think it smells I will empty it and wash my hands right away and then my fiance gets mad when he gets home lol.
