Here's a coupon, but you can't use it on anything...

There are quite a few cute items from BRU that I want to get for LO and all are on our registry. DH and I have bought quite a few things already, pack and play, stroller, car seat, etc., from there and I keep getting percent off coupons from them. But every time I go in to use them, they don't work with anything I want to get. I get the coupon and there is a list a mile long of things you CAN'T use it for. Maybe they should just put the things you can use it for! They even say I can't use them for toys.... Very frustrating!

    I said the same thing...why not list what I CAN buy instead of what I cannot buy. They are pretty worthless coupons in my opinion.

    LOL I JUST got a 20% one day only coupon for any regular price item but then looked at all the exclusions. I thought in my head that it would be easier to list what you can use it on because I couldn't think of a single thing.

    I tried to buy a Disney Tigger towel with one once, because I didn't see anything saying Disney was excluded from the discount, but they wouldn't give me the discount. They couldn't show me where on the coupon it said I couldn't use the discount, they just said the coupon wouldn't work and they couldn't do it. Needless to say I told them to keep their towel.

    I completely agree. I could almost stop shopping there because of it, but BRU does have some seriously cute stuff. It's so frustrating!

    This is why I LOVE buybuybaby.  I posted in another post that I used 12 20% off one items coupons...2 were from babiesrus, 2 $5 off coupons and my 10% completion coupon.  We saved over $300...which was like getting our stroller, car seat and extra base for free.

    They let you stack coupons, including ones from competitors, and the only major restriction I saw on the 20% one item  was that you couldn't use it on furniture.  BBB doesn't consider stuff like strollers, car seats, pack n play, High Chair, etc....as furniture so we used coupons for ALL that stuff. There were no restrictions at all on the completion coupon...as long as the item was on your registry you could use the discount! I bought a couple cloth diapers to finish my stash that way.

     I'm so jealous you have a BBB close by. Mine is like 1 1/2 hours away =( I did go there a few weekends ago and I LOVED it, but it was a hike.

    That's awesome! We don't have a BBB where I live, and there isn't even one anywhere remotely close that I could drive to. We actually don't have a BRU, the closest one is 2 hours away. But we have a Toys R Us... I think this makes the coupons even more discouraging because I could always use them on toys for LO, but the coupons aren't good on Toys! and the coupons aren't from just BRU, they're from TRU too, how can TOYS R Us send a coupon not good for toys?? Lol

    BRU does this all the time. They are such a worthless company.

    I got that coupon too and was excited about it. The exclusions definitely suck.

    I've had the same coupons, i think it's the 20% off one. I ended up giving up going there and only go there when there is a good diaper sale.

    Why offer a coupon if there are so many limitations to it?

    Hmmm...do you ladies get the coupons in the mail or email?  We're registered at BRU, and I don't think I've gotten a single coupon yet from them.  We're also registered at BBB, and I get coupons from them all the time.

    I get coupons in the mail and in my e-mail, but I also have one of their rewards cards and I know some of the coupons say you have to bring your rewards card with you in order to use it.
