I'm going to be doing IVF next cycle if this IUI fails again. My doctor said she'd recommend an antagonist protocol for me since I have PCOS because I can then trigger w/Lupron (which reduces the risk of OHSS). Could you share with me what your antagonist protocols looked like (drugs and number of days)? Just curious what I'm getting myself into here.

5 IUIs to get BFP w/baby #1
3 IUIs to get BFP w/baby #2

05/09/11-HSG-All clear! 05/13/11-SA-Normal. Found out on 2/14/12, low Morph (1%).

07/10/11-03/20/12- 5 Injectable (Follistim) IUI cycles; 4 BFN, 1 C/P. (stims ranged from 11 days to 25 days)
05/28/12-Diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. 75 mcg Synthroid.
IVF with ICSI in June/July 2013 = BFP!. Beta # 1 = 123. Beta # 2 = 252. Due March 25th. Baby boy arrived March 27, 2013!
FET #1 - 10/4/14 = BFP!! Beta #1 = 179. Beta # 2 = 499. Due June 22nd.

I had this protocol both times, but take this with a grain of salt since everyone is different.
I'm early 30s with a 3.3 AMH and no known issues on my end. We also had ICSI both times.
Cycle 1: I was stimulated for 10 days with Gonal F 150
10R, 5F, 5dt of 2 blasts, 0 to freeze
Cycle 2: I was stimulated for 9 days with Gonal F 225
8R, 4F, 5dt of 2 blasts, 1 to freeze
Mine was like an injects IUI except the meds were a mix of FSH and LH (vs FSH only), plus Ganirelix (the antagonist) cd6+ and your trigger. Because of the surgery you'll be on some sort of antibiotic, and you may be on a steroid if you do AH or ICSI, so the meds you take depend on your specific situation. I stimmed about the same length as IUI as well. 10-12 days is the goal no matter what kind of cycle you have and this protocol isn't particularly slow, like EPP. So about 2 weeks from start to ER. Antagonist is one of the shortest, easiest protocols.
I was over surpressed and then hyperstimmed my first cycle. The second time around, I was on follistim, menopur, and cetrotide:
Day 1-2: 125 follistim, 150 menupor
Day 3-6: 225 follistim, 150 menopur
Day 7-11: 225 follistim, 150 menopur, and cetrotide
Triggered on day 12 with 20 units of lupron, and then a 1,000 unit hCG booster the next morning.
We had 18 retrieved, 9 fertilized. Transferred two on day five, with nothing left to freeze. We had much better quality eggs with the antagonist protocol, and I felt much better about it, both physically and emotionally. Good luck!
Phew! That is great to hear. I'm glad it's relatively short and easy, in the IVF scheme of things. I'm already doing shots and oral meds for IUI so am hoping this next step to IVF won't be too much more stressful.

I did BCPs for 2 weeks. Then started stims on CD3. I used Gonal f, Menopur, and Cetrotide. I was also on an antibiotic, baby aspirin, folic acid, and a steroid.
Stim day 1-3, 225 Gonal f, 75 Menopur
4-5, 150 Gonal f, 75 menopur
6-7, 150 Gonal f, 75 Menopur, 0.25 Cetrotide
8, 75 Gonal f, 75 Menopur, 0.25 Cetrotide
9, 0.25 Cetrotide and Lupron trigger
Im a high responder at age 23 and with an AFC of 25. Today is stim day 8, so I'm assuming I won't have any additional meds tomorrow, but I could be wrong. It is basically set in stone that I'm triggering with Lupron tomorrow. The reason for my med decreases is that I've been responding very well and my E2 is high.
