AF: Anyone else still waiting?

Just curious if anyone else still has not gotten their period back yet? I'm EBF so I'm sure that's why, but it still makes me nervous that my body hasn't gotten back to 'normal'. I'd like to TTC again after DD turns 1, and I'll need to be ovulating in order for that to happen Confused

Normally I'd be jealous of your non-existent AF, but since you are wanting TTC, I'm sorry you're having to wait for it.

I had a couple friends who didn't get their period back until they weaned around 15 months. I got my period back at 8 weeks with both of my girls and I have always BFed.

Are you planning to continue EBF after your LO turns 1 year or are you going to cut back/switch?

As much as I love to BF, I'm definitely looking forward to weaning to WCM at 1 year!

I am in your same position! I want to start TTC in August, so as much as I like not dealing with AF, she should consider returning in the near future!

I still EBF and I'm still waiting - or not waiting. Personally I enjoy it's absence for now I figure by the time LO turns 1, she'll be nursing less so I imagine that will jump start things so we can TTC towards the end of the year.

Still waiting. Starting the weaning process and switching to formula. I keep gettting cramps and such I feel like it should start soon but then nothing happens.

No AF here either. I'm not too sad she's missing though, but we're not planning on TTC anytime soon.

I'm sure it's just the BFing that's keeping her at bay and once you start to wean she will return - OR maybe you'll get pregnant right away!

I got AF back right at 6 months. I started charting again then, too, but, as far as I can tell, I haven't ovulated yet. I've had four periods now, no ovulation, and I think I'm about to start my fifth. I'm still BF-ing, so I think that's causing the weirdness. We just started TTC, and I hope that I won't have to wait until he's weaned. But, I guess we just have to wait and see.GL to you!

Still nothing this time around and I am on no hormonal birth control. I'd love if it stayed away until I weaned (18 months or so) but we aren't trying for another so I've got no use for it! With DD I got it back at 8-9 months PP, but I also had supply issues and was supplementing with formula.

I haven't had one since before I got pregnant with Timmy. My last one was Dec 2008. I got pregnant with Nick a month after Tim turned 1

I also EBF with both boys

And Id be perfectly happy if it stayed away forever!

* I know that no AF does not equal no ovulation, but it would be slightly maddening to try and chart without the ol' gal.

You can always talk to your ob about taking, I think progesteron? it will help you to start your period again

No, we are BFing but not on the pill. But I had irregular periods before I got pregnant.

Nothing yet, still BFing. I've gone over 60 days without one just in 'normal' life though, so I expect I'll need to get back on some meds to jump start my body when we want to get serious about TTC again.

I haven't....our consult with our RE is may 11th, so I really hope I see some action soon.

ETA: I'm still nursing once a day and down to pumping 2 times a day....dropping to one pump next week and will hold there until our consult, where I'm hoping they'll tell us an early fall FET is feasable, in which case I will fully wean by June 1 (they can't do the necessary testing until my 2nd pp AF). If FET is a no go that soon, I will probably keep with the 2 sessions a little longer.

My first one started Sunday, but I don't know that it's a "real" one. A little over a week ago I thought for sure I was ovulating because I was having TONS of stretchy mucus, but this bleeding started sooner than I would have expected; plus it's really light and I'm not having any cramping.

We aren't planning to TTC for at least a year, but we use charting to avoid pregnancy, so I was kinda looking forward to AF returning so I'd at least be sure where I was in my cycle for a few days!! I haven't been able to make heads or tails of it this whole time.

AF came about a week and a half ago. We were on a roadtrip and I had nursed DD about 9 in the morning then we stopped for lunch around 12-1 and I gave her a bottle of BM then, fed her around 3-4, went to the bathroom, and boom, there was AF! I wasn't so happy but I suppose we'd like to have another soon, but as I mentioned in another thread, I am hesitant because I'd like a VBAC and right now I'd have to drive at least 2 hours for one.

I don't know what I'm waiting for, maybe we'll move... Ha.

Anyway, I've started charting again (err, I'm trying, but DD hasn't been waking up a consistent time in the morning, so, I haven't started temping again yet) and we're using condoms for now. I charted for a year or so, to avoid, before DD.
