Talking my friend who is around 12 weeks pregnant into cloth diapering. Any hints/tips I should tell her to help convince her?

Honestly the very best thing you can do is just spend 20 minutes with her and your stash. Go through changes with the different types you have and show her how easy (and ADORABLE) it is.

I did this with my friend last week and she's totally convinced!

You should probably shpw her how easy your routine is because that's one thing that people worry about. Also, show her some cute fluffy cd butts.

I have "converted" two people and the kicker is always doing the math to see how much disposables for 2.5 years would cost. People are always shocked at that number. Then you show them how much 24 OS cloth diapers cost (obviously many of have many more than 24, but that's all you HAVE to have, haha).

People also worry about laundry, and are surprised when I tell them it's just one extra load every other day. And I never have to touch poop or swish in the toilet water. And our diaper pail smells a hell of a lot better than some of the diaper genies with disposables that I've smelled over the years!

poop leaks out of sposies more than cloth. or at least that's why we switched, I was tired of getting pooped on several times a day.

I started looking at it for environmental and economic reasons... but after finding out about the chemicals in disposables, I am definitely going with CD. And they are so much cuter!
