my dd is 25months now i gained 50lbs with her and i lost alot of it in the beginning but i still look like i am pregnant, when i am naked or wear something tight, it sucks. i haven't exercised but shouldn't have it gone down by now? i had a c-section, not sure if that matters.
Re: anyone out there still have a belly 2 yrs later?
Personally, I think there was a difference in my body after a vaginal birth and csection. With ds, he was born by vaginal birth, and I lost all of the weight I gained with him, and then some. With dd - she was born my emergency csection, and I have lost the weight, however I just feel proportioned differently. The weight definitely did not come off as easily as with ds.
This exactly. My stomach muscles stretched and tore during pg 2. I went to a plastic surgeon who said I was a good candidate for a tummy tuck or lipo. The tummy tuck would give me a rock hard abdomen but leave a scar similar to a c-section. Since I never had a CS, I went for lipo. My stomach is flat but still soft. Clothes look so much better on me. I had low self-esteem b/c of the pooch and decided to go the surgery route. I know this is not for everyone. I had a good experience though and I'm happy w/ my results. Basically, I'm telling you this b/c having the pooch is normal even for those of us mom's who are a size 2/4.
Best thing I've done was meet with a trainer (once) who gave me a 1 hour or less total body workout routine... 10 mins. cardio warmup, then weight training and compound exercises for the balance. It is so, so much better than being on an elliptical or treadmill for hours and hours each week and seeing no results.
GL!
Almost exactly the same. Vaginal birth first, lost 60% weight, got pregnant and didn't gain much, c-section... terrible proportions! I've been working out, eating better, doesn't matter. It reminds me of the episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8 when the doctor gives her a free tummy tuck and she shows the cottage cheese pouch... yuck!
