Ruffles - tucked in or out?

Do you tuck the ruffles along the legs of your fitteds in or pull them out? I remember reading somewhere that ONE of those options helps with leaks and poosplosions, but I can't remember which.

    I leave them out, I've never heard of of tucking them in with cloth.  I think that has to do more with disposables.
