i am hoping for a VBAC and since DS never descended i am totally all about forcing this baby down and out i need any tips you've heard as to how to get the baby in position!
someone recommended the site spinningbabies.com so i'm going to check that out.
i'd *prefer* not chiropractic only because the two times in my life i've tried it (two different chiropractors) i really didn't love my experiences with them.
i used acupuncture to help me get pregnant so i'm a believer in it--but not sure it helps the baby move down.
any other tips you've heard?
Re: RP from 3rd tri: tips to help baby drop into position?
Have you discussed this with your doc? From what I understand after the first baby, some babies don't drop until you actually go into labor. As long as LO is head down, you'll probably be ok.
My baby is breech so far and I'm planning on doing the acupuncture (scientific study shows that it's fairly effective) and if that doesn't work the external version. I share your feelings about chiropractic. I've heard that the inversions from spinning babies don't show much evidence of working.
Good luck!
Time and patience.
I believe spinning babies is only going to really help you if baby were to be breech. I would definitely try accupuncture and also if you know anything about hypnobirthing, you can use their visualization techniques and listen to the birth aspirations on CD. Some babies just don't drop until you're in labor and they are about to be born and others don't drop b/c they can't fit in your pelvis.
Did you have a c because he never droped. DD was head down and never dropped. I ended up with a folly bulb induction 8 days late and at the end actually ?pushed? her into the final station. This was done through pushing and pelvic tilts. My doc. did note that she felt I was able to do this due to a having a strong core. I have been doing reformer Pilates for 5 years. I am not aware of anyway to encourage the baby to drop in the final weeks of pregnancy GL
yes...he never dropped so i stopped dilating at 7 for 4 hours. plus i had a fever and they weren't comfortable waiting any longer so they had to get him out.
i'm hoping this time things will be more favorable--and at the very least hopefully i won't have a fever this time that i could maybe wait it out longer even if i stalled.
thanks all for the info!

Check out the different pregnancy exercises you can do with a birth ball. Hip circles are great.
I felt my baby flip to head down position after being transverse while I was doing the cat/cow pose. Apparently being on your hands and knees can encourages baby to get into position.
There aren't that many chiropractors who actually treat pregnant women. In my area, I believe there are only 2-3. So, you may find that your experience with those trained in the Bradley Method is different than with others. So far, I'm really liking it. But, I have no prior experience. She said she is much gentler - no electric stim.
