What can you do for a kiddo when the pollen is really bothering him? DS keeps sneezing, he's sniffly, and his eyes are watery. The mucus is clear and thin, so I know it's not a cold. He won't let me near him with the bulb syringe. The poor little guy is miserable

Re: Pollen Allergy
We do Zyrtec too but that hasn't cleared DD up so far. It helps her sleep though, so we give it to her before bed. Baths work great, so its become common for her to get a midday bath -- no soap, but just warm water. Gets a lot of that snot out. Then there's saline solution -- it helps to get snot out too. I'll do that a while before the bath, so that when it comes out I can easily wipe away into the water. At Walgreens you can get booger wipes that actually have saline in them so when you wipe their little noses, it also helps to clear them up.
Lastly, I think our DD's issue is a combo of pollen and teething. She has 4 teeth coming in right now. So I also put a few paci's in the freezer, then let her gnaw on them. She loves it, and it helps her to sleep.
Good luck!
Dr. Fox says that Most people can obtain relief of their allergy symptoms with medications. The OTC antihistamines, such as Claritin, Allegra and Zyrtec (all available generically) work for many patients. Prescription intranasal corticosteroids and antihistamines are a good option for more severe symptoms. When these do not work, allergen immunotherapy (allergy injections) should be considered
