1st Birthday Ideas

I need ideas for my daughter's 1st birthday.  It's at the end of July and we are going to invite friends and family who have children from age 1-6.  I'm stuck trying to figure out how to entertain everyone with an outdoor party...

    We're doing a Nautical/Beach theme outdoor bbq for LO, he's a boy tho.  You could still do a beach theme for a girl and do mermaids maybe.

    As far as entertaining the kids go...an inflatable kiddie pool? Sprinklers? Bubbles? Mini ball pit (plastic balls in kiddie pool)? Not sure if you meant outdoor as in park or outdoor as in backyard or how much you were hoping to spend (or not spend) on entertainment for the kiddos.

    We are doing an ocean/whale theme for DD's party. The plan is for it to be outside, hopefully the weather will cooperate.

    We are doing zebra stripes with hot pink as out theme. It is *hopefully* going to be in our back yard and we will grill out. I think all of PP's ideas on how to entertain kiddos were excellent and I will be stealing some of them myself :D.

    We are doing a picnic theme (watermelons, strawberries, lemons) and it will be at a local water park because tere are a ton of little kids in my family.
