Thoughtless friend...tiny vent.

One of my close friends and I had always thought that it would be wonderful if we could get the chance to be pregnant together and were thrilled to find out about our pregnancies only 3 weeks apart. She is doing great and is now about 29 weeks along. The other day I was having lunch with her and asking her about who she wanted at her upcoming baby shower. She lists a bunch of people and then says, "Oh, and Mary has to be there...she just had her baby and we've been like Pregnant Buddies; it's so much fun having someone to do this all with." Ugg. I couldn't help but feel a bit jeaous and bitter.

Top it off with a BFN and I'm on day 38. Pity party for me.

    :-(  I'm sorry, sometimes it's the little comments that bug/hurt the most.  I would have been bitter too.  And boo to the BFN.  Big hugs.

    That really sucks, ((hugs)). It is hard when your closest friends say things that hurt so much without even realizing it.

    Ugh, I'm sorry!  People just don't understand how much comments like that can hurt.  I am kind of dreading all of the family get togthers for the holidays because I know things like that will be said, I am the only one besides a much younger cousin that does not have kids yet....

    I too would have been a little jealous and bitter

    It isn't easy to hang with pregnant friends and help with showers, when we know we want to be in their shoes.
