Snappi Sizes Question

We are finally getting around to buying snappis to go with the prefolds I've been avoiding using since it's hard to get it to stay. 

Question.  On Kelly's Closet (who has free shipping for the next 30ish minutes :)  has two sizes... 

For our toddler - 28lbs, should we be getting the toddler size?  Or will the other smaller size be fine?

    Are your prefolds wide enough to wrap around your toddler?  We have the Bummis prefolds (size 2) and they are too narrow to fit around DS's waist, so I have never even bothered with a Snappi, i just trifold.

    If your prefolds are wide enough to wrap around your LO's waist and be fastened in the front, then I would go with size 2.

    Depends on how the prefolds fit him, if the edges come close enough together in front (ie, you have big prefolds), you could get away with a size 1, but if you need it to go hip-to-hip I'd go for the bigger one.
