I always thought of this as a guilty pleasure name but it's growing on me. I've vetoed all my other name choices for various reasons. My DD is Taylor. We find out the sex in 2 weeks and have chosen a boy name but are at a loss for girls names.
Thanks for your opinions!!
ETA: Also, is it weird to name a girl Summer if she's born in September or October??
Re: What do you think about the name Summer?
I have to say, I do love the name Summer. My only reservation about the sibset of Taylor and Summer is that they both end in 'R' but, that may not bother you.
I think it's pretty. I have never met a mean Summer.
And I don't think it matters what month she is born.

My brother and SIL named their first daughter summer. I gave him a HUGE side eye... Nice stripper name. (so that's my first thought)
It's not that bad though.
Yep. Same goes with Autumn. I don't like it at all.
OP, I think Summer and Autumn seem more like hippie names, but definitely not stripper. I would have NEVER thought that.
My sisters middle name is Sommer. She was born on the first day of summer.
I like Summer and Sommer.
