Newborn Pockets, yay or nay??

I know stuffing the Fuzzibunz elite OS is tricky for me because my hand gets stuck/ caught in the PUL since the diaper is so small/ narrow (I am 100lbs max, so my hands are pretty tiny lol). I always get scared that the diaper is going to rip apart when I am trying to get my inserts in and I have tried having my hand touching the PUL and touching the MF, it's equally tough.

So my question is, do you guys find stuffing the NB pockets tricky since they are so small or am I the only one who experiences this?? lol

I am thinking about adding some to my stash since I only have AIOs but prefolds and covers can also work.

    i'd prefer prefolds and covers to pockets for the newborn stage, but i'm super lazy about stuffing.  that's partly why we use 100% elementals now :)

    i own 2 pockets (HH mini one size and thirsties duo pocket diaper) for the newborn stage and they weren't bad.  i used them for the longer stretches at night.  my other diapers were either prefolds (majority) or BG newborn AIOs and lil joeys knockoffs, which were also AIOs.  

    bottomline, i just hate stuffing :)

    I found a trick to make it easier. Scrunch up the diaper like you scrunch up a t-shirt to put over little one's head. So the end is now near the opening. Poke the insert into the opening and grab it at the closed end and pull through!

    Lol I hate stuffing too because I'm always paranoid I'll rip the diaper lol but I am so scared of prefolds too...so I was thinking having pockets will give me the option of extra absorbency.

    I never had trouble stuffing FB xs, but DH couldn't do it- he has huge hands.  We have one FB elite, though, and I can't stuff it.  I've noticed that the size of the diaper isn't really the problem, it's how sticky the inside of the PUL is.  Most of my FB are fine, but I have two where the PUL is much stickier inside for some reason.

    I also loved PFs for the NB stage.  I actually wasn't crazy about the FB xs, even though we LOVE the smalls.

    Thanks, and you are right, I do notice that the PUL is on steroids in the Elite.

    We have two FB xs pockets that we use for night time. I have no problem stuffing them but my DH hates stuffing them. His hands are huge and mine are pretty small. I love the diapers though - they fit my DS great.

    I felt like anything other than a prefold was a waste on my last newborn.  You change them so often at that point.  I did like them for longer stretches once she was in one sizes.
