Any NYC or Northern NJ soon-to-be-mommies?

Hi!

I'm been stalking all of you for a month or so!  I'm due Nov. 3rd and have been dying to ask tons of questions.  But today, the only one I can think of is if any of you are in NYC or Northern NJ and would want to meet up? I work in NYC, and live in South Orange.  I checked the local boards for NJ/NYC but everyone there seems to already have children, and aren't in the same situation.

I have ZERO friends/family who are expecting and so I don't have anyone to talk with, I'm also the first of my friends to be pregnant.  I feel bad going out for drinks with the ladies talking about the baby, while they are trying to find bachelors or get tipsy :)  

 Anybody????

    I'm originally from north Jersey, now we're in south jersey near Philly, but trying to move back up soon! I'd suggest trying out some of the pre-natal classes offered at destination maternity and a few other places, you might be able to find people that way. ?I'm the exact same way though, first and only of my friends, so I've been relying mainly on my older sister.

    I'm in north jersey (Bergen county)! I have a baby already :) I know it's for after you have kids but check out meet up . Com. There are tons of mommy groups on there!!

    I'm in Northern New Jersey! (Essex County)

    This is totally right by you, but St Barnabas in Livingston has Mommy groups...they have a new mom's circle and a PPD/Mommy Moods group. Definitely something amazing to try when you have your LO.

    (I'll be going...I go currently).

    Spork- The mommy group sounds amazing.  My doctor right now is in NYC and told me I would deliver with her at NYU, but I'm thinking of moving to a doctor near Saint Barnabas and delivering there instead. Did you deliver there? 

    Jacksmom- Meet-up had a big group in Maplewood for moms and prospective moms, but it seemed like I wouldn't have fit in yet...without a little one.   All the activities seem to be kid focused.
