I didn't realize that Carter's clothes go from NB to 3M. I thought 3M meant 3-6M, but it must be 0-3M. I bought a couple of outfits on clearance in 3M for Christmas and now I'm guessing that they probably will be too small for DD. Unfortunately I already took off the tags and washed them.
Can someone confirm the Carter's sizing for me?
Re: Carter's Sizing ?
Carter's is NB, 3M, 6M, 9M, 12M, 18M, 24M, 2T, 3T, 4T, 5T...
Everyone I talk to always says don't go by months size, go by weight.

Thats a link to a random piece of clothing. Right below the color options click on the 'so simple sizing chart'
3m is 21.5-24 inches long and 8-12.5lbs.
If things don't fit you can always donate them to a shelter! I bought a lot of baby clothes at x-mas, if they don't fit my little girl thats what I'm going to do.
Yep, 3months = 0-3 months (though I did find the 3 months to run a tiny bit bigger than 0-3 months for some outfits). My son was on the larger side due to length (75-90%) and we found them to be pretty true to size, but by 6 months he was in 6-12, 12 months, and some 18 month clothing. It really varies on the child and even the type of clothing, not just brand.
Gerber runs super small. Newborn fits more like preemie and 0-3 months is more like newborn. I avoid most of their stuff for this reason.
I'd hang on to them. You never know, some babies are peanuts and are in each size for a while.
