If you get the book ahead of time, try to get about half way through it before the first class if you can! if not, no worries.
Have fun in class! Ours is wonderful. You might want to take a pillow if yours is a long class. Ours is two and a half hours and I NEED that pillow for support after sitting so long.

I second the bringing of pillows! Ours is a 2.5 hour class and I can't sit in a chair that long. Also, bring water & a snack, if you can. My class provided the book, and I find it a fast read. See if they provide the Rainbow Relaxation cd, because if they don't, you will want to buy it. I'm actually going to buy the plain background music from the CDs, too. Above all, have a good time! I am really enjoying my class!

You are smart to get the Comfort Zone CD as well. I loved RR for practicing, but when the big day came all I wanted to listen to was Comfort Zone. I listened to it for all 17.5 hours of labor!
yay!!! i start my next series on May 9th and I can't wait, either! i always love the first class!
bring to class:
a pillow for your own comfort
water and snacks
a pen and a journal
your HypnoBirthing book (your practitioner should provide you with both the book and the Rainbow Relaxation CD - this is in our agreement with the HypnoBirthing Institute. if she hasn't already sent them to you, you should expect to get them at the first class. i send my students the book ahead of time and give the CD out at the first class)
definitely wear comfortable clothing. there is a lot of sitting in the first class. sometimes we instructors get so excited and into the material that we forget to break. be sure to ask for a break if you need one!
enjoy your class!
