My monkey is almost too tall for her cat seat already! We will be traveling a lot this summer so I'm thinking I should buy one soon. I would love to find one under $200, but I know we may have to spend a little more. We live in tx so I'm curious if anyone had one that doesn't make their baby sweat like crazy.
Re: Convertable car seat recommendation?
What carseat do you have that she is outgrowing it already??
I saw some recs for the MyRide 65 I think?
We used the Evenflo Symphony with DS#1 in Texas and I don't remember him sweating. I changed car seats when he was around 2 because I found a great deal on a Recaro, so we use the Symphony as our back up.
I am currently getting ready to search for convertibles for DS#2 because it won't be long before he can't be in the infant carrier.
What we did with DS#1 was looked at our criteria (price, size, etc) and then out of the car seats that met our criteria we put ds in them at BRU and the one he didn't cry and fuss in was the one we picked.
ETA: The Symphony is so EASY to install if you have the latch system. You just push down in the seat and the straps tighten themselves up!
We have two MyRide 65's for the boys. DS1 is in them now and is almost 3. They are very comfortable, have cup holders (very important as they get older!). My only complaint is that they recline a lot when FF. For this reason we will be getting DS1 new seats this summer and moving DS2 into the MyRides.
Oh, and you can find them for well under $200. I got our first one for $109 at BRU and the second for $99 on Ebay (brand new, not used).
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
They are on sale at Target right now for $125.
