I just saw that there are different types of sleepsacks when we last went to the store. One was a thicker fabric (towel-like material) and one was more like a t-shirt material. For the thicker one, we'd use a onesie but for the thinner one we use a footed sleeper.
We have the thin t-shirt type material one and use a footed sleeper. I used a gown once and his feet felt really cold. We use a snap up sleeper so I can just undo the bottom of the sack and sleeper for diaper changes.

We have the fleece Swaddle Sleep sack. It's still a little chilly here, so I usually have him in a longsleeve footed sleeper or another sleeper sack underneath.
