Has anyone used these or can your recommend yours? I've heard the spiky ones can help distract from the pain by stimulating pain receptors on other parts of the body like feet.

DH used tennis balls on my back which helped a lot. Not sure about spiky balls, but it might be worth getting both. You never know what will work until the big day comes
DH used a tennis ball on my back. It really helped a lot for the less intense contractions/back labor, but after my water broke, forget it, not much was helping at that point (except for awesome coaching, cool wash cloths, and gripping the handicap bar next to the toilet until my hands hurt too). Good luck!
