So his stress test was fine. His cardio called him before she could see his echocardiogram to tell him that there was an abnormality in his blood work and she wanted to refer him to a rheumatologist. So that's where we'll head next. I'm wondering at what point we'll be an episode of House. :-)
I'll keep you posted. She had suspected an auto-immune disorder could be causing his pericarditis. So it looks like blood work is favoring that possiblity.
Re: DH vs. His Body
Hi, never had the chance to respond to any of your ealrier messages but watned to let you knwo that I have pretty bad rheumatoid arthritis and do in fact have arthritis of the chest as crazy as it sounds. In early days I went to the ER a few times because of chest pains but it was really the arthritis but never made the connection because who heard of arthritis in the chest right? My arthritis meds did help with it but I do still get an occasiponal flare up......I also tested negative for rheumatoid factor but I defniitely have rheumatoid arthritis.
Let meknow if you have any questions!
