XP: Squirming in sleep - relflux or something else?

Squirming in sleep - reflux or something else?

-->

My LO has some reflux issues, and is on Pepcid and Maalox. Her symptoms have greatly improved, and we rarely have the projectile spit up of her formula anymore. One thing I always thought was related was squirming with some grunting while sleeping at night. It seems to have gotten worse lately, and now she's doing amazing acrobatics in her crib. Within no time she'll be on the other end of the crib, turned 180 degrees.

Do you think this is reflux related or something else?

  • My daughter has reflux and does this too. I think she is more squirmy when she has gas though. She will really arch her back when it's reflux. My husband was shocked to find her sideways in her crib.

  • My LO has been doing the same thing in the last 2 weeks!She's on Prevacid.

    My pedi thinks it's the reflux causing it. She is also showing signs of teething and sucks on her fist in her dreams (with arched back).My LO has always been very squirmy, even in the womb. Now she does acrobatics on the changing table with smiles on her face.I want to think maybe this squirming is a combination of being uncomfortable and discovering her how to move around.
