How was your weekend?

Did you ladies enjoy your weekend?

How many had a shower this weekend? How did it go?

If no shower, did you get up to anything fun/interesting/baby related/ relaxing?

My BFF hosted a small shower for my girlfriends - Build Baby's Library. It was wonderful!

And - my brother got engaged! Yay!

All in all, a very awesome weekend - with some great weather too!

Re: How was your weekend?

  • I had a great weekend. It was my baby shower so I got a lot of things for the baby and got to see my family and friends.  My shower also had people bring a book for the babies library and it was great.  They also had of the guest make a birthday card for each year until 18.

  • Congrats to your brother! (and family!)

Friday I took the day off and went to the doctor, where everything looked good.

I had my shower on Sat and it was wonderful. More people came then I thought, and it was nice to see everyone. The weather was beautiful! We got lots of goodies for the LO and now it is a matter of putting everything away.

  • Had a really fun weekend.  My husband took me to Michael's, the craft store :)  It had been forever since I got to make anything, so I sort of went overboard on beads and made necklaces this weekend.  Also, he had to tie my shoes while we were out.  Since I was little, my knees lock horribly if I crouch or kneel, so I learned to just bring my knee up to my chest to tie my shoe while standing on one leg (like a flamingo.)  That isn't the easiest thing to do right now, and there was no place for me to sit down and tie them.  He was nice enough to tie my shoe for me, then looked up at me to say it was good practice for when he has to tie our son's shoes.

  • My weekend really sucked. We had 2 weddings and receptions to bounce back and forth from on Saturday, which kept ultimately lead to me being up half the night, and then had to work on Sunday. The great thing is that I have to do the same thing all over again this coming Sat/Sun because my best friend is getting married.

It wasn't bad. I went shopping with my mom on Saturday and picked up some baby stuff. Finally got my high chair and she bought us a Rock n Play sleeper thing as well. The rest of the weekend was spent at home playing with my daughter. She got a new Dr kit so she's been all about that.

I love that idea for a shower! I love children's books so that's right up my alley. And congrats to your brother!

My weekend was good. Our crib was delivered on Saturday and I love it! :o) It fits perfectly in the space & I'm so happy about that.

  • My weekend was okay. We celebrated MIL's birthday on Saturday. Sunday I co-hosted my sister's bridal shower.

We didn't do anything baby related this weekend. And definitely nothing relaxing! I'm getting really tired of being busy every single weekend and after my shower next Sunday, I'm done with making time for other people. We don't have a lot to do to prepare for the baby, but I really need to get everything organized and away. I hate not being able to be home on weekends!!

I'm looking forward to slowing things down for the next while, though!

  • A pretty lazy weekend here...DH was out of town most of Saturday and Sunday with gigs. I did organize the clothes we have for the girl to figure out what more we need or what should be exchanged. It felt good to check it off of the list!

  • We had company all weekend, and it was someone that DD loves to spend time with but drives DH and I crazy, so that put a damper on part of the weekend.  We did dinner on Friday night, a birthday party at a park part of Saturday, out to dinner Saturday evening, errands Sunday morning, out to lunch Sunday afternoon and then finished up a few things in the nursery on Sunday evening.  My main sprinkle shower is on Sunday, and then my friends at work are hosting another one the Thursday after that, so our house is about to become overrun with baby stuff- I hope!

  • It's so fun to read about the weekend happenings!

We finally had a weekend without rain-the first since February-so we had our garage sale.  We had to clean out the guest room for the nursery, so there were lots of household items to put out.  I also have a side business that sells used classroom materials, and there is just too much inventory in our garage.  I have hundreds of textbooks I have been too tired to list and just need them gone by the time Baby gets here.  So I put those out and e-mailed every homeschool group I could find in the area.  We got two days of gorgeous heat and sun, and made about $1,000 off what we sold.  The good news is that got us our carseat, carseat attachments for the stroller and some babymoon money.  The bad news is it barely made a dent in the books and 'stuff'!  Luckily we have a donation truck coming next week that we can put the household materials out for.  I'm still trying to figure out what to do with all the textbooks-I just can't deal with the business right now, on top of working full time/baby stuff/everything else in the world.

I'm with the pp-this was my last big 'event' until Baby gets here.  I was so dehydrated Saturday night that I was sick for an hour.  I slept about 13 hours and did better with water on Sunday, but still slept about 14 hours last night.  We have our shower this coming weekend, and then it's blackout weekends.  MAYBE a trip to the inlaws, but I don't want to do anything when I'm there but lay on the couch and sleeeeeeeeeeep. ;)
