Re: Monday Moans

  • My (home) office is a disaster.  There are tax records mixed up with spreadsheets from work piled on top of Flex Spending Account receipts.  It literally looks like someone turned over a giant shredding bin in here. I need to clean it, because it is making me crazy.  But when LO is asleep there is always something more pressing to get done.

  • I am working on a large project at work that was supposed to launch right after I returned from ML, but the vendors have screwed it up and it's now 3 weeks late. It was managed by someone else, and it was his ONLY responsibility. That person has left the account. Now I have to manage that (a full time job) on top of my other work. My co-worker keeps telling me all of the problems that he finds with it, instead of logging them in the system - he was even given an account because he was bugging people with all of his issues. Apparently, I missed one of his email complaints on Friday when I was sitting on Conference calls for 6 hours. Instead of logging it in himself, he sent me multiple emails to tell me that I missed it. Barely 9:00 and I wanna punch someone!

  • My allergies are kicking my a$$ and my office is a wreck. I can't even blame the mess on DH this time since he straightened up his half yesterday.

  • It's so cold in my office, I've been here for two and half hours and have yet to take my coat off. But, at least it's keeping me awake!
  • I just started a new contract at work and I think we're switching to that insurance since it's so much cheaper (it'll save us $170 per month!). It's frustrating because it's only a one year extension, but that's too much money NOT to switch. I dread the idea of filling out all the paperwork.

Also, I feel like crap and I think I am fighting a sinus infection.

Lastly, at some point this weekend DD didn't have a good latch on my right side and now my nipple is killing me and I have a small blister. Do not miss that stage.

  • I only have 7 ozs in my freezer stash and 3 weeks of lacrosse left. That makes me really nervous.  It's my fault because I am too lazy to pump in the am.

  • I have no idea where we are going to live in about a month! We are trying to transfer to a different part of our missions organization, and I don't know if they have housing for us. The next month is so full of stuff and we have a big conference to go to for three days in Dallas so I'm worried about DD sleeping. At least it's at the Hilton :)

  • I'm tired of texts from my boss at 9am.  For one, on Mondays, I'm still sleeping and #2, I don't need to be at work until 1pm but still come in at 12pm.  No amount of texting and calls will rouse me from my husband's arms. Or make me forsake my baby's cuddles.

Oh, DH cleaned the bathrooms last night. I went pee this morning and the toilets definitely do not look clean. It will have to wait for another weekend. Poo.

  • I am so tired of having clutter everywhere! It's so hard in a 2 bedroom condo because there's nowhere to put anything. And I'm getting tired of cleaning up puke. Cat puke, Dog puke, baby puke lol The baby puke I really don't mind though ;) The cat puked on the couch the other day and the dog puked all over the carpet when I was fast asleep with DH in my arms. I woke up so fast to go try and "catch it" that I bonked him in the head and woke him and and then he wouldn't go back to sleep =/

  • My apt is a pigsty. The sun is actually SHINING in WA state, but I will probably not get to spend much time in it because DH has our only car right now and he's out golfing. I'm worried about my freezer stash (I burn through about 50ish oz of it every week because of my work schedule). But DD is sleeping very peacefully right now, so I'm trying to look on the bright side.

  • Did my usual nighttime routine with DS last night - bath, jammies, eat. Only problem was he was fussing at my breast, so I decided to give him a bottle. He fell asleep after only about an ounce (it had 4 oz in it) so I kept trying to wake him up to get him to finish eating. Finally, after awhile, I got him to eat all but about a half an ounce. I held him upright against my chest afterwards because he's kind of gassy) and he fell asleep, then he started squirming so I switched to a cradle hold and he spit up on his jammies. I changed him into another pair and put him in his swing, then went downstairs so I could eat something while DH watched him. About 10-15 minutes later, DH comes downstairs with DS in his arms and I notice DS is in yet ANOTHER pair of jammies. Apparently, he had projectile vomited all over the swing, floor, and himself. I go back upstairs to try to rock him, though DH offered to do it (for once) so I let him. That lasted all of 5 minutes before DS starts grunting big time and I gave up on trying to sleep and went and brought DS in the other room with me to nurse him a bit since he had just thrown up all his food. He didn't fall asleep until midnight (normal bedtime is between 8 and 9 pm) and I didn't get him to sleep in the crib at all last night (we have just finally been able to do this for most of the night in the last 2-3 weeks). DS back awake at 5:30 am.

To top it off, I took him to daycare around 10, came home, tried to sleep, slept for maybe an hour and now I can't get back to sleep. I'm totally exhausted. Ugh.

  • Oh, as I was leaving for work this morning, LO decided to spit up on my pants three times.  Lovely going in smelling like baby puke.  And no, changing was not an option at the time as everything else was still wet in the wash machine.
