The weekend went exactly as planned for us, it was nice.
Our pitbull, who has become aggressive with the other dogs, killed one of my chickens yesterday. We've kept him seperated from the kids since his aggression toward the other dogs started but now we are giving him up, we aren't sure if he will go to another home or if he will be euthanized. J says once they have a taste for blood they will keep attacking.
It was great! Ultrasound on Saturday morning showed two follies: a 16 and an 18. We triggered that night and had IUI this morning. Feeling great! Our dear friend came for a visit and we had a lovely time. All in all, a great weekend. Now looking forward to a great week!
Friday we went to the home of one of the boys'
classmates for dinner. We had a great time and the boys had fun playing.
I had no idea what time it was, and we didn't end up leaving until 9:45
- meaning the kids didn't get to bed till nearly 10:30. Oops.
Saturday
L stayed home to do yard work while I took the kids to swimming lessons
and run some errands for the baby shower I was attending on Sunday. Got
home to pick up L and head to the playdate with her boss when her boss
called and said that her son was throwing up and needed to cancel. Went to Target and came home for a rest
before taking the kids to Parents Night Out at the gym while we went to
PF Changs. We got caught in a horrible rain storm and my pants were so
drenched that I went to LL Bean and bought new pants while L waited for
our table. We had a really nice dinner and then closed down the mall.
Kids didn't get to bed till 10:30 again. Oops.
Sunday L left for a
work conference and I took the boys with me to the baby shower. The
host (my co-worker) has a stepson the same age as the boys so they had a
great time. It was nice to catch up with some of my co-workers that I
don't see as often and drink Mimosas. Got home and got ready for the
week. The boys asked to go to bed at 6:30, but once they realized it was
so light they changed their minds, I let them read till 7 and they were
passed out not long thereafter. I spent the evening debating bunk bed options and watching stuff that L hates on tv.

Saturday morning my sister and nephew arrived. We ate lunch and played at our apartment and then spent the afternoon at the natural history museum. The fun got a little bit overshadowed by me losing my favorite earring and DW and I completely retracing our path through the huge, busy museum without luck. We then went home and got take out, put the boys to bed, and had some grown up conversation.
Sunday we went to a kids indoor place space and chased the nephews around, wandered the back streets looking for a restaurant for way too long, and then ate lunch with the family. They then took off and DW and I spent a good chunk of our evening cleaning our closet.

Fri: I left work early after a call from daycare that Ky had a mild fever, was coughing, not eating, and miserable. We stopped at the store on the way home since she seemed fine once I go there and even ate some animal crackers and juice I had in my purse. We ate dinner and she took a bath and went to bed normal time. Ann came home a few hours later than normal since she was hanging with the guys after work. We went to bed.
Sat: I had cleaned the day before and had nothing to do but laze around the house in pjs all day. That was the plan until I woke up an hour later than normal only to realize Ky had slept in and woke up sounding like Darth.Vader. The pedi had an appointment so in we went. No fever but a positive strep test. One steroid shot for the wheezy breathing and an antibiotic later we were on our way home. Ky would not nap without me so I layed down with her and napped too. I called an rescheduled our picture appointment. My mom still watched Ky while I went to dinner and drinks with my bff form IN and Ann went out with her friend from NC. I picked up a still awake and fever free Ky at 930. he passed out on the way home and I watched a movie before falling asleep myself.
Sun: Still no fever in the morning and after Ann got up we decided to run a few errands. While I was waiting with a half asleep Ky in Best.Buy's parking lot I noticed her cheeks were really red and her heartbeat seemed really fast (you could see it in her neck). We had to stop by the store to get a new thermometer anyway and pulled it out of the package in the parking lot...105. We went straight to Childrens. Registered 104.5 there and they got her something to bring it down. She was so lethrgic and glassy eyed. It was really scary. Chest xray to rule out any upper respitory complications and a diagnosis of the antibiotics have not had time to work, prescription for ibuprofen and orders to keep her drinking. By the time we left the hospital she was talking and way more alert. Home for dinner and bed.
Today I am working a half day while our friend is home with her in the AM. I am taking tomorrow off and hopefully she will be fever free!
This weekend was great. Friday night and some of Saturday I was feeling pretty wiped out (hopefully a good sign!) so we really did a whole lot of nothing, just as planned! I did do some housecleaning, and K went bird-watching on South Padre Island (her idea of heaven) for most of the day. Sunday was church and another lazy day; we have state testing most of the week this week so I didn't have a lot of lesson plans to write.
Today's been a good day so far, too--one of my students, for their assigned essay on social justice, wrote about why marriage equality is important and presented to the class. She did an awesome job! And I just received an email from another school in our system inviting me to interview for an Assistant Principal position!
Our weekend was kind of ick. Our plans fell apart, PBS was a holy terror,Pandoara was teething and LMC was, well,LMC. On the plus side,PBS didn't need to be sedated for her eeg which was a huge relief and we redid the girls closets and dressers. At least we were productive in our boredom!Somewhere in there we ran errands, tested out the new stroller, played at t he water table and I made a few freezer meals. ((Snore))
Our weekend went just as planned. Busy busy busy, and today I'm wiped.
They say that you're not 100% negative until AF arrives, but I'm pretty sure I'm not, after a few tests and very PMSy symptoms. Oh well, we'll try again in a couple of weeks.

Friday: I took the day off work to work on packing and purging at home. Also met carpet cleaners at the house, picked up new mailbox keys from the PO and ordered a lawnmower online and went to the store to pick it and a weed eater up. Ran to BBB for a few bath-related items and to Target for some rugs we'll need in the new place. Very long but productive day.
Saturday: Up early in the morning to continue working on things. Loaded up a bunch of stuff from our place and random stuff the previous owners left including hideous curtain valances and packed it all off to goodwill. Cleaned the fridge at the new place--it was gross! Swept the garage for loading stuff into and programmed new garage door openers since they didn't leave those. Left mid-afternoon to spend the rest of the weekend with K. We went to early dinner and then to watch roller derby with some friends. K wanted ice cream after, so we got some covered in Baileys at a karaoke bar near the arena and then decided to head home and call it a night.
Sunday: Slept in and had a lazy morning getting ready. Had brunch at a great spot down the street from K's place. Then we went bedroom furniture shopping. Gasp! I do not have a matching set of grown up furniture but it's about darn time to get one. K knows a guy who works at a place where she's bought much of her furniture, so we went there and looked...and agreed on one we both like. After that we went to an Earth Day celebration at a local place with an outdoor patio where there were bands playing and beers pouring. The weather was an AMAZING 73 degrees which is pretty awesome for April in Seattle. Then we headed back to K's and went to a local place with a group.on for dinner and home to call it an early night.
Friday: We flew back to the bay area from PA on Thursday night after being gone for almost 2 weeks. We had our part time nanny/mother's helper there first thing so I could try to unpack. I have to say, we took far less than expected with four children. (mainly because DW's family had all the disposable diapers, ( we are part time cloth) formula, and PNP's waiting for us when we got there) we were to say the least exhausted, so it was a lazy kind of a day that included take out for dinner.
Saturday: Our Helper came back first thing in the a.m. as DW was running the Survivor Mud Run. I would have loved to have joined in as there was a nice group of ladies running, but I have little stamina after having the twins! ha ha She met up with the group early and I took the 2 older kids and picked up our friends son from baseball and headed out to the event. Looked like SO MUCH fun! Next year. It was super hot, almost 100 so we sat in the shade and played. DW had to work that night, so she took a nap before leaving for work and I had the lovely pleasure of trying to reason with cranky wee ones that were (and still are) off schedule. It's great fun when 1 baby wants to go to bed at 5, the other and 11 then one get's up at 4 while the other wants to sleep. Then throw in a 2 year old that wants to be held and snuggled and too is kinda witchy...
Sunday: DW came home to a wife that was over tired but brought champagne for mimosa's so that perked me right up! I took the 3 little ones to a b-day party which was nice because it was a smaller group so it was no biggie when the little ones started to run around naked after swimming in the pool. So cute watching all the tushies run around. Came home, woke DW up for work, then hunkered down for another night of over tired children.
Today we are still catching up, Found out DW is working the A's game (she is in EMS) so she will be gone from 4-11....looking forward of her being home so she can join in on the night time fun!
