Moms of boys, help with a tummy sleeper.

My boy is a tummy sleeper. He wakes up at 5am every morning completely soaked up the front in pee. The poor guy would sleep later if he wasn't waking up wet and frozen every morning.  I usually a change him and bring him into bed with me because his crib is also soaked and I don't wanna change the sheets at 5am.  It's making for a ton of laundry because sometimes he wakes up twice a night.  I have tried night time diapers, I have tried going up a size. I always point it down when I put the diaper on.  What else can I do for the poor guy?  His sister was also a tummy sleeper and this was never an issue.

    What time do your son go to bed?  My DS is a tummy sleeper too.  He goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes between 5:30-6:30.  Luckily he isn't soaking through his diapers (pampers) in that 11 hours.  He sleeps in a onesie and then a sleeper. I'm sorry I don't really have any advice for you other than to try a different brand of diapers maybe?

    You might experiment with different brands or you could put a diaper doubler in his diaper. BRU has them. I would cut one in half and stick it in the front of the diaper

    My LO doesn't sleep on his tummy, but if he eats twice between diaper changes at night, he wakes up with a wet back.  My solution is to change him every time I feed him, even it it's in the middle of the night.  Sometimes he sleeps on his side for naps, and he often does leak then.  I started putting him on a waterproof pad to nap.  That way I can just remove the pad and the sheets stay clean.  The pads I have are cloth on top, waterproof on the bottom so he's not directly lying on anything plastic-like.  Good luck!

    I am normally a lurker, but thought that I might be able to help here. Make sure that when you put the diaper on, you point his penis down. It doesn't hurt him or affect anything. It just ensures that when he pees, it goes down to the more absorbant part of the diaper, instead of up. Hope that this helps!

    I had the same problem.  My LO is pees A LOT!  Even during the day we have very wet diapers almost every hour to hour and half.  He's also a side/tummy sleeper.  I tried Huggies & Pampers and the best way to prevent 99% of leaks is to use a size 3 diaper and a size 4 over it.  Crazy, I know, but it works.  If he eats twice in a night I do change him with the last bottle because he will leak even with 2 then.  Its not really leaking out on the sides but literally soaking through the front of the diaper.

    my boy is a tummy sleeper and we use huggers lil movers and we have no leaks. like pp make sure penis is going south and not north. My son is wearing a size 4. He goes to bed between 6 or 7 and gets up at 4am if he goes to bed closer to 6 then he will get up at 1am .
