Pain, so much pain.

Dh graduates college (with a job) on may 4th! Yay! But we decided that I needed to move back home before him, we do not like the hospitals and doctors where we were living. So all last week I was packing, cleaning, and got all moved down on saturday but I apparently pushed myself too far. My Sciatic neve is killing me! I've been icing and heating and staying off my feet as much as possible. That's helping a little, but do any of you have any different suggestions?

  • I have never had any issues with sciatic nerve issues but a friend of mine did and her dr gave her some stretch to put right leg over left and bend down to your toes and switch sides...may help but I don't know first hand =) good luck hope you get some pain relief soon =)

  • Ok thanks! I'll try that. I hope it let's up soon. I hate feeling like I can't do anything.

  • I have the same issue...my midwife taught me with previous births to do two things..one is to get on your hands and knees and to sway your hips from side to side.  The other is to have somebody stand behind you and squeeze your hips...sounds weird, but it feels sooooo good.
