Anyone else out there TTC again? Or counting down the days till #2 (or more)
We (me, lol) REALLY want to start TTC. I have baby fever like mad!!! haha.
I took a test the other day because I really feel my body is telling me i'm pregnant (possibly just my head wanting to be) but it was negative.
Its hard to know when I can actually test though since my period is WAYYY outa wack.
I was EBF up until late february, then we introduced formula to see if DS would take to it because we were planning on Cuba. Long story short my supply tanked and instead of trying to build it up again I stuck with formula - since tanking I've gotten my period twice (sorry if thats TMI - but theres a bit more) and lately my pee smells kinda funny (negative for UTI though) i'm fairly moist down below & haven't been feeling 100% & having crazy dreams again.
I'm going to test again in two weeks and see what happens - I'm just going crazy waiting and what baby #2 really badly - we want to share all the love in our house with more little one!!
Re: anyone TTC??
No....but we seriously cannot afford a 2nd LO right now. But I want a baby, haha. I miss that itty bitty newborn stage. My body is nowhere near ready to carry another baby yet though. My friend said that the woman's body is biologically predisposed to WANT a baby once the first baby gets to be around a year old.
Are you charting at all? If you are moist right now (haha, your words, not mine!) then you might be ovulating right now, so you would be fertile. I charted to get pg last time and could totally depend on my CM.
Good luck to you with whatever you choose.
Definitely make sure your body is back in shape to carry another baby first because I didn't wait at all (see ticker) and I am totally paying for it now. I conceived when Saoirse was 10 weeks old because we wanted our kids to be close together (plus a dozen other reasons) but I didn't realize what a toll it would take on my body to have to carry another baby when the muscles in my back and belly were still so soft. I can barely walk some days and lifting my huge daughter is getting very tough. She gave me such a hard time going to sleep last night that I had braxton hicks contractions every 3 minutes for a half hour. Seriously, we almost went to the hospital. It's such a PITA to be heavily pregnant and taking care of a baby.
That being said, I am super excited that I'm due 2 months from today. I can't wait to have my 2 babies playing together. I know it will be exhausting at first but it will be worth it in the end.
Good luck with whatever you decide!
We aren't TTC, but I know how you're feeling. I was there when DD1 was this age. We wanted the kids to be 2 years apart so we waited until DD1 was just over a year to TTC, but I would always see pregnant ladies or newborn babies out in public and wish it was me.
Actually, I still feel that way about pregnant ladies and newborns, but in more of a "aw, I liked being pregnant" sort of way.
We are planning to just enjoy the next couple (or 4) years with the kids and revisit the one-more-child thing then.
Yes, we are....I got baby fever again, for sure.
We aren't yet despite everyone's thoughts about our weekend away! Hah! We'll hopefully start relatively soon after DS2's 1st birthday for an early spring '13 LO.
CONGRATS! I don't think that I saw this previously!
I'm not using BC, so I guess that counts as TTC.
I don't have "baby fever" though. I do not envy pregnant women or mothers of newborns especially. While I loved DS as a newborn, the lack of sleep was really tough, especially when I came back from maternity leave. That being said, we do want a bunch of kids, so having another baby soon is a good thing for us.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I really want to but I'm hesitant for one reason, and that is that I want a VBAC and it's banned in all but 2 or 3 hospitals where I live and those are at least 2 hours away. I want to figure out my options (homebirth isn't one of them, I live 45 minutes from the hospital where I had DD) before it happens, if I can. I am really considering traveling the 2 hours, even if I have to for the prenatal visits.
We EBF and I just got AF back about a week and a half ago. DD still nurses every 2-3 hours, but we were out on a roadtrip with my parents and I had gone without nursing or pumping about 6 hours, and it came that day. Now I'm charting and we still use condoms. We'll just see where that gets us.
I did this at the end. We moved two hours away when I was 35 weeks pregnant, and I didn't want to change doctors so I continued with my original OB. He was fine with it, and was awesome about everything.
I changed with this one though; the thought of two hour car rides there and back with a young baby did not seem appealing to me. GL to you; I hope you get your VBAC!
Thank you! It is good to hear from someone who has done that before!
Jennv!!! Yay!
I'm counting down to #3. Currently 18wks6days. #3 will be born about 25.5 months after #1.
I get the imaginary baby when we decide to TTC. I know it can be stressfull
