Teethers for bed?

Are there any teethers that would be safe for my 13 month old to have in his crib with him? His two front teeth are comingin and he is desperate for something to gnaw to sleep on. I read that our favorite razababy teether made a baby choke so I am only letting him have it under supervision now. We have a few selecta wood rings and rattles, any other ideas?

  • Sophie has a few reviews about choking too. Neither of them ever scared me but DS didn't show a lot of interest in either. He's only chewed on his key ring.

  • Ds2 actually choked on Sophie! I had told dh about the choking reviews that week but ds1 had a great time with his Sophie and never choked and we hadn't seen anything scary with ds2. Thank god dh had the possibility on his mind and was checking in a little extra because of it. Dh was doing dishes with ds2 in the pack in play a few feet away, ds2 rammed Sophie down his throat and was silently choking when dh pulled it out. Now Sophie only gets play time when lo is in our lap or right there. We also have the vulli teether that is a little blue character that has what looks like a nipple on his head. Not sire of the name- we call him "Hipple, the head Nipple" which I don't think he could choke on as easily. E squeaker would wake I'm if he rolled over I'm though.
