For those that have used a Rock n play

Was it hard to transition baby into their crib after they slept in the Rock n Play? Every review I've read said it is basically a miracle product, but it seems like there would be a major struggle once the baby needs to move to the crib.

What is your experience?

  • We are still using the RNP, but I asked the same question on one of my local boards and they all said they didn't have issues transitioning (though a few of them put their crib mattresses on an incline to transition). I'm curious to see how it goes. DS isn't quite two months; I'm hoping to transition him to his crib at 3 months.

This! Except we transitioned her to the PnP instead of the RnP. She was waking every 3 hours before and still wakes every 3. So the transition hasn't made it better or worse

  • DS also sleeps in a RNP and about once a week i put him in the PNP so he is laying flat to get useto it but i find he sleeps better flat but he spits up more if that makes any sense. he sleeps sounder.. we wont be putting him in his crib for another month or two since he was a preemie and is still small.
  • Right now she started out in the RnP then when we go to bed we move her into the cosleeper which we have propped up at an angle with books under legs b/c of reflux. Hopefully that will make it easier when the time comes.
