Starting solids....

HI all,

I am just wondering how your cloth diapering routine changed after you started solids, especially re: poop. Right now my LO is EBF and I just put all diapers into a dry pail. It has been working so well. But  I am wondering, do I need a sprayer? We have started rice cereal and his poop smells fowl!! Should I be spraying those dipes or will his poop become solid?

    You will probably go through the peanut butter poop stage first where it starts getting less watery.  Once you start solids, you really should try to remove as much as you can from the diaper because it is no longer water soluble. You can dunk and swish but it can get messy and I found that to be much more difficult.  I prefer using a sprayer and I think it works wonderfully.  I started using it once my DD started eating solids.
